Martin Steers of the [[https://communityradioawards.org.uk/|Community Radio Awards]] has been in conversation with the [[https://localgiving.org/|Local Giving]] donation platform. He’s arranged a 25% discount on the joining fee for any station joining in the next two months. So should be just over £70 reduced from £96 - [[https://localgiving.org/for-charities-and-community-groups/|link]]. | [[http://docs.commedia.org.uk/lib/exe/fetch.php?media=200330_oliver_dowden_to_chair_re_covid_and_charities_sectors.pdf|Letter]] from Secretary of State, Oliver Dowden CBE MP, to Julian Knight MP, Chair DCMS Select Committee on the effect of the coronavirus outbreak on the creative and charitable sectors. |

Local Giving are also keen to encourage stations to set up fundraising campaigns around COVID-19 but do not mind if participating stations are focused on developing their own sustainability.
| |
Their COVID-19 fund can be found here: [[https://localgiving.org/campaign/covid-19/|https://localgiving.org/campaign/covid-19/]].
| |
An added bonus is GiftAid. Even if you’re not a charity, it doesn’t matter, Local Giving can claim it and pass some of it back to you.
